Join us Saturday, June 21st, as JZ 94.5 and Hancock Whitney present the 3rd Annual Juneteenth Celebration in Gulfport! 

JZ 94.5, in collaboration with the City of Gulfport and proudly supported by Hancock Whitney, Budweiser, Mitchell Distributing, Sparklight, and Pepsi, announces the return of the Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday, June 21, 2025, starting at 2 PM in the Quarters — at 19th Street & 31st Avenue in Gulfport.

This year, we’re celebrating unity, heritage, and hometown pride — and paying special tribute to Jackson County’s own Dr. Calvin Huey, the first African-American service member to play in the historic Army-Navy football game. Dr. Huey was not only a decorated seaman but also went on to become a respected physician — a true local hero whose legacy we are proud to honor.

And that’s just the beginning...
