Alchemy of Cloth is a hands-on maker workshop series where you will transform reclaimed textiles into wearable art. Learn simple techniques, build confidence, and create a finished magical piece showcased in Fashion at the Faire, a living fashion show woven into the Midsummer Night Faire.

• Live classes: Tuesday, March 3, 17, 24, and 31 | 6-8 PM
• Virtual class: Tuesday, March 10 | 6-7 PM - virtual check-in to talk about materials search

• Class Fee (4 live sessions, 1 virtual session + fashion show): $75 | Space limited
• Project Supplies not included (hunt for thrifted or other pieces to use as base)

Alchemy of Cloth is a hands-on upcycled fashion workshop series where participants transform reclaimed and vintage textiles into high-style, whimsical, magical, mystical Faery / Renaissance inspired wearable designs. Guided by practical construction methods, makers of all experience levels will learn how to re-imagine existing materials into garments and accessories with lasting beauty, fit, and versatility. If you have always wanted to make your own fantasy garb and didn't know where to start, this is for you! Design and make your own outfit with support from designer Suzanne Stafford, the Faery Queen's Modiste!

The series culminates with Fashion at the Faire; an interactive fashion show. Fashion at the Faire brings upcycled couture to life as models move through the Midsummer Night Faire, transforming the festival itself into a living runway. Discover re-imagined garments made from reclaimed textiles, meet the designers, and vote live for your favorite look in this interactive celebration of craftsmanship, creativity, and second chances in fashion.

The Midsummer Night Faire will be at The Mary C in Ocean Springs on April 10 from 5-8pm. This is a community event with free entry and fun for the whole family!

• Live Class 1 March 3: Discussion about upcycling options

• Virtual Class 2 March 10: talk about how search for materials is going

• Live Class 3 March 17: Bring gathered materials to class to start planning your project

• Live Class 4 March 24: Bring work-in-progress project for support

• Live Class 5 March 31: Bring work-in-progress project for support

• Live Fashion Show April 10: Wear your finished project to the Midsummer Night Faire. Class participants will be part of Fashion at the Faire: an interactive living runway fashion show. Gather votes from faire guests. Prizes awarded to the winner.
