This annual event will bring together Mississippi Gulf Coast area women as they grab their hammers and volunteer along with approximately 17,000 women from across the country. We are dedicating April 17th May 19th to raise funds to build two houses, one in Harrison County and one in Jackson County, while empowering women on the construction site. This event will bring together area women as they raise the needed funds for the homes as well as grabbing their hammers to help build it. Women helping women sends a positive and powerful message.
You can work individually or with a team and will select just one of the construction work dates to work on the site from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm. Each individual will raise a minimum of $350 towards the home. This task is made much easier by Habitat providing your peer to peer fundraising online fundraising page, information about Women Build and Habitat MS Gulf Coast to share with your supporters, suggestions for social media updates and emails, and any additional assistance you may need. Corporate donations can be made for an entire team of 7 ladies for $2,500. We will provide all tools, hardhats, a t-shirt as well as some other fun giveaways. Remember, experience isn't necessary; however, Habitat MS Gulf Coast will be hosting a "How To" workshop at Lowe's titled "How to Properly and Safely Use Power Tools."Images
