Proud to be the hometown paper of Long Beach. Our paper is free to pick up at racks around Harrison County. The most convenient way to get the LBB is by home subscription for only $12 per year.

Arlene Nguyen, a senior at Long Beach High School (LBHS), was selected to receive a $2,500 STAR Scholarship from the P.E.O. Sisterhood. She was recommended by P.E.O. Chapter B of Long Beach. Nguyen is the daughter of Tu Nguyen and Kim Mac.
Long Beach Chapter #51, Order of the Eastern Star (OES), held its installation of 2024-25 officers. Worthy Matron Pamela Taylor, PM, and Worthy Patron Tommie Taylor, PP, will lead the chapter for the ensuing year.

Long Beach recently received a 2024 Heritage Award for the Quarles House. The award is given by the Mississippi Heritage Trust, and there were twenty-five recipients this year. The awards are designed to honor the hard work and commitment of many individuals, civic organizations, educational institutions and local, county and state governments to preserve the places that tell the story of Mississippi.
