The Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Shannon Gill has been appointed as the new Executive Liaison & Customer Service Leader. Shannon brings decades of experience as an administrative assistant, offering exceptional customer service, and a proven track record of outstanding relationship management.
Shannon worked as an administrative assistant in the mental health arena and specialized in forensic psychology. She previously worked for J. Donald Matherne, Ph.D. for more than 26 years. In her prior position, she was an invaluable asset to the practice, and won multiple awards for women in her field, including the American Women in Business award. She not only excelled as an administrator, but also as a business owner herself, owning two successful high-end online retail stores, Magnolia Souls and The Hygge Loft. Shannon also owned a transcription company for 25 years, which served many of the Gulf Coast’s mental health facilities.
As a lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast, Shannon has immersed herself in not only business culture, but she also has a rich history of engaging with many local, national, and global nonprofit organizations. She has had much success overseeing many facets of mission work, fundraising, operations, and engagements, making her a dynamic advocate for the nonprofit industry. Shannon has led numerous successful initiatives that have significantly improved community welfare and underserved populations.
