Position Description: This position is with the Specialized Treatment Facility, a Mississippi Department of Mental Health Program, which is located in Gulfport MS. The incumbent in this position will provide primary nursing care for adolescents residing at a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) under the supervision of the Nurse Manager. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assess individuals for signs/symptoms of illness, medication administration, medical care, and clinical supervision for staff members. The STF Nursing Department work schedule is 12 hours per shift and 80 hours per 2 weeks working 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next week.
Salary Range:
Nurse I $38,720 annual base salary Nurse II $47,238.40 annual base salary
$11,228.80 TDL @ 29% $13,699.14 TDL @ 29%
$49,948.80 $60,937.54
Nurse III $55,741.31 annual base salary
$13,935.33 TDL @ 25%
$69,676.64
Shift differential is paid at: 10% 2:30pm-10:30pm, 15% 10:30pm-6:30am
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Nurse I- 0-1 year experience as RN -psychiatric/mental health experience preferred
Nurse II - 1-2 years’ experience as RN -psychiatric/mental health experience preferred
Nurse I- 2+ year experience as RN -psychiatric/mental health experience preferred
Required Documentation: valid unrestricted license to practice as a RN in the State of Mississippi and official college transcript
