• Concierge / Café Worker (Part-Time)

    Gulfport Luxury RV Resort in Gulfport, Mississippi, is seeking professional, personable, part-time Concierge / Café Workers to provide excellent guest services while assisting with efficient operations of the Resort. Successful candidates will be highly motivated, customer focused, possess great communication skills and be detail oriented. They will report directly to the Assistant General Manager, General Manager and/or Shift Manager. 
     
    Essential Responsibilities and Duties 

    • Possessing team spirit, great communication skills and a professional work ethic.
    • Collaborating with team members to ensure a seamless experience for guests.
    • Supporting Front Desk Supervisor and Front Desk Agents to assist with guest needs, including but not limited to, escorting guests to RV site or cottage; tours of the RV resort; recommendations for entertainment, dining, or local activities; and assistance with reservations.
    • Manning the park entrance to ensure that a guest is registered with a reservation; directing guests to the clubhouse to check-in; directing any visitors to the clubhouse for assistance.
    • Greeting and establishing rapport with guests; reporting guest comments, suggestions, and complaints to Front Desk Supervisor.
    • Reports guest or staff emergency situations or immediate need situations to Front Desk Supervisor.
    • Assisting the General Manager in planning and coordinating guest events and activities.
    • Ensuring that guest confidentiality is protected.
    • Maintaining the integrity of the brand of the Resort, ensuring all guests have a positive experience during their stay.
    • Filling in for any duties in the Resort as needed, including but not limited to the following: front desk, light maintenance, preparing RV sites for turnaround, security, and housekeeping services.
    • Ensuring control/protection of Resort assets.
    • Adhering to Resort policies and procedures (e.g., operating procedures; health, safety, security, and environmental policies, etc.).
    • Making sure all food and sanitation standards are up to standards.
    • Maintains and cleans café equipment and ensures use of proper techniques for maintenance of cleanliness and preparation of food and kitchen.
    • Inspects the café’ prior to opening to ensure that adequate supplies are available.
    • Request additional supplies as necessary to stock the café.
    • Follow set-up procedures.
    • Participate in preparation, cooking, and serving of menu items.
    • Collect payments and ensure accurate payment information and cash flow.
    • Make sure all prep-work is completed accurately and timely.
    • Cleans and locks café area according to prescribed closing procedures.
    • Ensure that all food items are correctly stored, labeled, dated, and rotated to prevent any health or safety hazards from occurring, and take precautions against possible spoilage.
    • Thanks members and guests; invites them to return.
    • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

    Education/Experience 
    • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. 
    • Customer service experience is preferred.

    Qualifications 
    • Must have the flexibility of schedule to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required. 
    • Must have the ability to lift at least 50 pounds. 
    • Needs to have the ability to interact with guests and team members in a friendly and kind manner. 
    • Ability to recognize and react to conditions, both internal and external, which present a positive or negative image of the resort. 
    • Ability to use a personal cell phone for Resort business. 
    • Occasional local travel will be required (e.g., purchasing supplies, etc.). 
    Licenses and Special Requirements:

    Position Type and Compensation 
    The Concierge will be a part-time, non-exempt employee. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
